All our Shabbos Childrens Services are held at Westmount Community Shul
under the direction of Rabbi Mayer Michalowicz.
Being around a group of kids long enough to help them grow is what shaping the future is all about. The funny thing is it doesn't always take something big to make a difference in the growth of a child. A caring face and a healthy growth oriented environment on a steady basis can make all the difference in one's children's week. At Westmount we have seen our first generation of children grow from students to teachers and role models. It is my privilege to have some small part in helping develop this Westmount generation of kids into the successes they are today. My experiences as a youth leader, youth director, and now youth Rabbi have shown me first hand how this type of programming positively effects our children. Whether it's the individual attention each child receives, their inclusion in a larger group of kids that work constructively, or that they feel they are making a difference, the children of our shul grow to shine light into a world of darkness. Bring your child into our community, stay a while and you will be amazed at the difference a few hours a week can make in your child.
